MISSION STATEMENT
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., an educational organization, teaches riding, mounted sports and the care of horses and ponies, and develops in youth the characteristics of responsibility, moral judgment, leadership and self confidence.
In addition to its instruction function, USPC provides opportunities for team competition in various horse sports.
FORWARD
United States Pony Clubs, Inc., was formally incorporated in 1954, and became at that time one of over 26 countries in the world that support the pony club movement.
The term “pony” was used by English Fox Hunt clubs to describe all mounts, regardless of size by their youthful members.

USPC instructional and activities programs are implemented through over 550 local member clubs in all 50 states and the Virgin Islands, each under the supervision of a District Commissioner. The local clubs have an overall membership of over 12,000 children and young adults up to the age of 21. For administrative purposes, the clubs are grouped in geographic regions, each with a Regional Supervisor as liaison between the national organization and the clubs within the region.
Pony Club Pledge
As a
member of the United States Pony Clubs, Inc., I stand for the best in
sportsmanship as well as horsemanship.
I shall compete for the enjoyment of the game well played and take winning or
losing in stride, remembering that without good manners and good temper, sport
loses its cause for being.
I shall endeavor to maintain the best traditions of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship.
I shall strive at all times to uphold the high ideals of the Pony Club and my country.
